For over a century & a half La Bastide des Lavandiéres has been a prominent feature in the small village of Canaules which is just over a mile away from our vineyard at Saint-Jean-de-Serres .

Originally constructed in 1850 it has had a few different  & diverse existenses during the intervening years .  At various times during the 160 years or so since it has been constructed the building has served the village as both a small hotel , a cafe & during the 50's & 60's - a chique French nightclub .

We began work on converting the Bastide into 7 luxury apartments in early 2007 & following the normal expected & unexpected problems we completed the renovation in mid 2008 . Because of the age of the building a lot of renovation work was required in order to retain the character of such a beautiful 19th century building .

Now what was once a derelict eyesore in the village is actually one of it's highlights . The seven large apartments in La Bastide des Lavandiéres have been completed & furnished to a very high standard with all the facilities & amenities you would expect to find in any superior quality accomodation including en-suite bedrooms , large living & dining space & spacious balconies or terraces . All apartments have UK satellite tv channels & radio stations as well as digital French TV .
